Hey all, my 95 250 4x4's front springs are giving in at 200000 miles. The bumpstops are about an inch from the housings and she rides like hell! I was wondering how much spring i could throw into it with factory mounts, etc without having too much positive camber. I like the wheels to look vertical or slightly postive on cam but hate the way it looks now with the sagged springs. I have seen 3 leaf springs in 250s but mine has 2 with the powerstroke. ANy comments are appreciated. Josh
My truck is a '97 4x4 with the 2 leaf front springs, I put an extra leaf on each side in the front to give the truck a "level" look so the front does not look like it is sagging. Picked the leafs up at a local truck spring repair shop.
i had a spring shop build a new set for my truck. with 5 leaves so it has a better ride and it picked the front end up to be level. i had to get it aligned after i put them on cause it raied the front 3". its a much nicer ride now, D60 is going in a few weeks with the shackle reversal
Kool, I got a D60 with my name on it at the wreckers but gotta scrounge up the 1500 bucks for it, (and the time to bolt it in). But need new springs regardless so thanks for the tips.
