In my line of work, there are some unionized shops. I am not in a unionized shop, but, if I were, I'd be part of Operating Engineers 115. My brother in law is, and so are a bunch of my buddies in the same industry.

International Union of Operating Engineers local 399 which represents stationary engineers. Not a blue collar job but not officially a white collar job, but I go home just as clean as when I showed up and my dress soes don't get scuffed, at least not in the office anyway.

My Mother belonged to the local teachers union. She was on the negotiating committee for many years.
