VIN on dash?
I am looking at a 1976 F-250 on ebay. the seller claims the driver's door was replaced when it was restored and the original VIN is not on the truck. Since the truck is out of state to me, I will have to have it inspected before it can be titled, they will check the VIN among other things. Should this year of truck have the VIN on the dash? If not, any suggestions for getting it titled in OH?

some have a tag on the firewall about dead center behind the block some on the front of the box and there is suposed to be one stamped into the right frame rail towards the front of the cab

There is also a sticker on the drivers side door jamb with the VIN if it hasn't been painted over or removed. The plate on the door was removable...seems like they would have transferred it to the replacement door. I'd make sure it was on there somewhere.
