Project Truck

I'm going to go and check out a 1990 F-350 crew cab single rear wheel 4x4 7.3 auto tomorrow. A guy that's in my course in college is selling it. I checked it out in the fall time but he wasn't home to hear it run. From what I remember, the body didn't seem all that bad. It just has the normal sore spots like cab corners, door bottoms and the rear bottom of the front fenders. It has 159,000 miles on it. It also has the E4OD transmission. He wants $1500 canadian for it. Is that a good price for a project truck? What are some key things to look at on this particular model? I also bought the cooling system test strips from Napa. Thanks.

Sounds like a good buy.......... Check the fuel return line color if they are painted grey and the injectors are grey too then they are original. That is good and bad, good no one has putzzd with it, Bad your next $1000 will be IP, injectors and return lines probably. I think the price is fine....

As a reference a local 94 NT 350 SC, dually "all original" 137K KMs cherry condition, one owner, 6 new tires, dealer wants 11,400cdn in town here.

Thanks PLC7.3. Just curious, when you mean "in town here" do you mean Thunder Bay? It just sounds like, by the way you worded it, that you may be from here.
