From: Destin/Ft. Walton Beach,
I would go with the Total Seal Zero Gap top ring set instead of the moly. The GT40P heads don't flow well enough for a 393 either. Valves are too small. It will make good torque down low, but run out of steam bigtime on the top end. Your engine could not live up to it's potential, without a head such as a set of AFR's.

I'd deffinately get a better set of heads GT40P's are going to choke that motor even ported.AFR205s,Victor Jrs.,or Trickflow R's would be a better fit. What kind of rpm's are you going to be running?

One other thing...I don't like the looks of that camshaft. Go a little bigger to help that motor breath, such as an Xtreme 4x4 x4262h grind.

Will the .512 lift clear my pistons...

I am also just using this truck for my weekend warrior (i.e) pulling the trailer or boat...

Do you have to put a whole buch of hi buck stuff on it if you are going to rebuild a 351W and have it bored over?

I am looking at havin a rebuild/remanufacture done, and have been told that for my daily driver/ semi monthly towing, I should get an rv cam. But I don't quite know what that is, and I Sure don't want to spen that much $$$ on an engine right now.
