My sister just traded her focus for a 99 ranger.
any way her passinger door dosen't unlock when you press the button on the remote or the door. Any ideas on whats causing it and how to fix

Don't know about the 99 exactly, but can you pull up on the door lock itself, and will it then allow you to open it? That way you know the physical mechanism isn't blocked.
If so, you may want to look at taking the panel off and check the wiring. It may also have something to do with the wiring on the driver's side door (short or something).

Just a shot, and not questioning your or sisters intelligence, but you do know to open the passenger side door at the same time as the drivers side, you have to click the remote TWICE in quick succession. Just a thought.....
