OK when did they start this!
Went down to my local dealer today to pick up a couple of FL-1A's...They are very different....Slotted holes in the top, insted of round...different flange...Has anyone cut one open yet?....I really hope its an upgrade.........But I have my doubts...

d44, umm.....don't know what things look like in Canada, but in my portion of the US of A ( michigan ) , FL1As have always had slotted holes. At least as far back as I can remember buying them. Thats back to about '75 or so. I don't know if they were always that way, but thats when I remember looking. the FL1-HPs when they came out ( don't remember when ) had round holes. I think Purolator makes Ford's filters. They have never given me any trouble. DF, at his Dad's house
