What is the Explorer Package?
Carpet,headliner,Upolstery,Hood Emblem,Striping,etc.
It would be explained in it's entirety in a Brochure of that year.

Trim is *TRIM* its Not,Options.
Carpet,Upolstery, etc.
You could have a *Custom* fully optioned out.
Although the salesman would direct you to the Lariat.
The Lariat is Like the Lincoln of Ford Trucks though.
Oh no, I guess the Navigator took ove that spot.
You know what I meant, right?

A/C is an Option,C6 is an option,
XLT has chrome trim around it with XLT badges.
4x2 just means two-wheel drive
I think you guys need some brochures to look at!

I respond to everything I have at least a little knowledge on.
It doesn't matter WHO it is.

If you have the "4x2" or "4x4" badge, you have "standard" trim- the base model. A/C was optional on all models but the highest XLT package. Cruise/tilt were standard on the higher XL and higher XLT levels, while power windows/locks were standard in the higher XLT. This is straight from the 1986 brochure; I'm sure 1985 is very similar.

That is true for the older trucks (79 at least), but in the mid-80's, options were included in these trim levels, such as A/C, cruise, etc. Some weren't available in standard trim.

That's why I said thanks. You take the time to answer question after question... You never take the stance of "Eh, somebody else will eventually reply to this."
And honestly, I wasn't expecting an answer so quickly...
