At work when we have an oil spill we soak up as much as we can just by pouring oildry (basically clay) right on the spot and leave it for few days. when we need to get the oil out of the concrete we use a solvent (like a mineral base) poured on the spot and scuff it with a stiff brush and use the oildry again. if you use a water base solvent like Simple Green use it undeluted will work the best.

Midlf is right on the monies. Go to Costco, or whatever...even the Dollar Tree and get the cheapest garbage they have.
Dont the the blue and green crystals, or anything besides the dusty yucky garbage litter. It'll soak it right up. Longer you leave it, the more it'll soak up. And dont only use it for the new stains. It'll pick up old stains too.
I went ahead and ran down to my local PetsMart and picked up a 20 lb bag of their cheapest litter........$3.00.
While I was there I noticed a guy from the Honda dealer garage <---(his shirt gave him away), and asked him what they use.
He said "the stuff they sell at Advanced Auto..........but Any clay-based litter will do" , He said it might even be cheaper over there at A.A.
So I stopped on the way home and checked on the price.......and to my surprise, it was $4.79 for a 40 lb bag. The counter guy said its basically clay cat litter, and to get the the stains out........just pour some type of solvent or even a liquid detergent, wait a while........then scrub with a brush and pour litter over the puddle to soak up the mess. He said to then "grind" it in and after a while ......just sweep it up.
So thanks again everyone........oh by the way, I'm happy to announce that my "out-law" sold the old "Exxon Valdez".................so NO MORE stains ...........til his next purchase.
Did you check what a 40# bag of cat litter was? Looks like the auto supply stores came down in price over the years. Enough people must have figured out the price gouging going on.
Don't even mess with the solvent, it just makes a bigger mess. Just use the litter to get up what you can with a floor broom sweeping it back and forth. Then use a little more and grind it in with your foot, then sweep that up.
