Does anyone know what years of seats will bolt up to my 96 f350 Crewcab(just the front bench). I found a split bench from a 2000 Supercrew ,cheap. It's even the same color and in good shape too, so even if it would take a bit of work, it would be worth it to me.
Thanks
They should make universal seat brackets that would help you get any seat into your truck. I went from full bench to buckets, but I had bought the buckets brand new.
Any '92 to '96 seat combination should be a direct bolt in to replace a bench seat on the outer rails. You may have to get creative about inner bucket seat rails/console rails. Should not be anything difficult.

Hey Tex, I have an '88 F250, and I got hold of a nice set of '96 40-20-40 buckets with center seat/console for a decent price. Did the floor/seat bolt pattern change after '91?
Sorry about hijacking here, but Tex seems to know about this, and I did not want to bother him with direct e-mail.
I am sorry, I think that the seat bolt pattern has changed. I don't think it would be a huge problem to make modifications in the floor pan and use the seats, though. I'd have bet that seats from a '99 wouldn't fit in a '79, but Randy was comvinced that he could use them and they look great. Once he determined where the rails had to be mounted, he spot welded nuts to the bottom after drilling, then mounted the seats and hard welded the nuts with a MIG torch. They are a bit full in the truck but he measured them and they worked. '92 to '96 (and some '97 are the same from experience). Think you can do it, though.
