Dash / Instr. panel swap with newer models?
My dash & inst. pnl in my 86 Bronco is not in the best of shape, and I would like to swap it out (as complete unit if possible) with that of the later models, I think they look better as well as have more comfy steering wheels for long trips. Anyone ever do this?

been there, done that. swapped an 87 dash and interior into an 81. would not do it again! dash is not the same shape as the 81, close but not the same. all the dash mounting is different. i had to fab some brackets to mount it along the windsheild area. was not any fun but i had to do it. as for the inst. panel, well all of the plugs are different. fortunately i was swapping the complete interior and all the wiring, even under the hood.
