88 blocks ..hyd rollers?

88 blocks ..hyd rollers?

Well i have a 91 gt and took my motor out and a friend of mine who has a 88 302 bronco. Wants my old heads(e7's) and my cam (wolverine 1087) and my stock headers.

are these blocks hyd rollers so my cam will fit? and will it make a big enough difference? thanks

I don't know if his block is roller compatible, but that cam isn't too good for a heavy vehicle. Not without a gearing change to lower gears, to keep the engine in it's "sweet spot".

hes got 3.55s in it but he has 4.10s 4.55s and 5.13s sitting around with a c6 tranny

no his block wont except your cam and plus its not suited for his application. as for the heads his 302 should have e7's on it already. also the lobe seperation on that cam may be outspec for his speed density to handle anyway. tell him to call compcam an get the proper cam that will not freak out the ecu and give better performance.

also your stock headers will require him to get his Y pipe redone because the location of the collectors is in a different place.
