I'm working on a 68 100 with a 390, and the gas tank behind the seat is shot....
need to replace it but would rather have it outside the cab, any ideas???
I put a 64-67 mustang gastank under the bed of my 72. It was a pretty clean instulation. I used 1x2 tubing instead of the 1x1 used in the tech artical on this web sight. I got a filler neck from a local boating supply store. Pictures are in my gallery of the tank in the truck, but I think the bed is off at the time.
Saw your pics on the gas tank. Looks great. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Any other specifics I need to know other than the 64-67 Mustang tank? The only tech article I found on this was for a "pre-67" and its not quite the same dimensions.
