Thumbs down Freeze Plug

Hi all, I'm new to this thread, does anyone knows where the Freeze Plug is located on a 1989 Ford Bronco? 5.8 engine, also, if there's a diagram of it, can it be posted for viewing? I'm also looking on information on how to install the Freeze plug, I beleive it is leaking antifreeze on the Driver's side. Thanks, Neil

Theres more than one. I'm not sure the exact locations on a 5.8L (cause I have a 5.0L) but they're right on the block, you can't miss em. Just pry the old one out, pop the new one in. (as a trick, use a little hand soap on the "O" ring, it'll go in easy and the soap will wash away leaving in tight).

Almost forgot, there are freeze plugs in the back of the block as well. (sounds like you've pinpointed your leak, but thought I would throw that in) I also forgot to mention to use some kind of sandpaper to clean out the hole to make sure you get a good seal. Then just tap the new one in with a hammer. This is an annoying job, your gonna get anti-freeze everywhere, if you have a drain on your rad that helps a little. GOOD LUCK!

I'm not going to use the original one, I will replace it using the Rubber Freeze Plug, it's a lot easier to deal with than the original one.
