put a deposit on a e350 w/ 6.0, cargo van with exterior and interior and power groups, tow package. middle of december, been waiting patiently, now dealer tells me it hasn't even been scheduled yet, he's going to talk to ford rep to see if it can be expidited. i'm running around in the wife's car doing service calls. what happened?
Why Ford doesn't have a second plant to build Econolines is beyond me. These have always been tough to get, with the longest wait times of any Ford truck. I don't know what else I can tell you, except to hang in there.
these guys didn't even know the van is down 90 horses and 140 ft lbs on the trucks. seems to me i know more about the product than they do, makes me wonder if i should find another dealer. is it practical to order a california truck through you?
thanks for your help

1) All new vehicles sold in NY have to have CA emissions, so that part's no problem.
2) There are three ways you can take delivery of the van:
A- show up here in person and drive it home,
B- arrange to have a carrier pick it up here and deliver it to you ($1000-$1500?),
C- or I can have someone drive it out to you. You pay their expenses out and back. About the same cost as option B.
I've had folks fly in from CA and pick up their truck, but they were going to be in the area on vacation anyways. Only you can decide if it's worth the trip or the expense. You COULD leave that decision up to me, but all of us here know what THAT would be! Hey, I'm still a car salesman...
