front wheel bearings

Can anyone tell me is it necessary to repack the front wheel bearings on a 98 sport 2 wheel drive and if so how hard is it and can you give me a quick description how? thanks for any info

'95 and up Explorers use a sealed bearing assembly. They can't be packed or otherwise serviced.

Mrshorty- I thought the two wheel drive models have the conventional spindle and bearing set up? I know the AWD models have the hub and sealed bearing assemblies.

could somebody confirm previos post. I have noticed some grease around my inner center piece of my wheels. thanks for the help.

I'm sorry -- my bad. I didn't even notice he had 2WD. I really don't know on the 2WD.

could somebody tell me how hard it is to do and a quick description on how to do it? I would like to get it done if it is not to hard soon before it causes a problem. if it is a problem?
