T18 fluid

I have a 77 f250 4x4 with a t18 tranny. I find the shifting a little sluggish. I read on another forum that 80/90 synthetic would slick it right up. I am now really sure of the mileage etc on this tranny but thought that I would get some opinions from those who know a lot more than I on his subject.

I am also running a T18 in my 66 and am getting the B&M syn manual tranny fluid. Folks that swith there trannys to syn say that it makes a huge differnce.
