Intermittent A/T Slipping
Hi All
97 Explorer Tranny slips intermittently...like one time once a week, or about once every 20 trips. Fluid is clean and not burnt, level is fine. Is such a rare occurance more symptomatic of one root cause than another for this problem? Most of the time it shifts smoothly but just hangs up once in a while. If I take it to a transmission shop, will they be able to diagnose it even if they can't reproduce it (chances are if I take it in that it won't happen on a road test based on the infrequency)?
Any guidance please advise. Thanks!
