Nice rig Markethopper. I like the winch and brush guard set up. How do you like the truxs sts tires? When I decided to get 36 X 14.5 tires they were my first choice but I some how wound up getting PJs instead.
bear hunter, what lift are you running, and size tires?? how do you like the ride quality? and what are you talking about when you say AMPS??? are they not steps? but that is a sweet A$$ looking truck. mine is the same color scheme with the super cab.... but that is the look i am going for. what gear ratio are you running now? thanks a bunch !!!
Matt,
Thanks....
I'm running Donahoe Racing's 10.5" Edge suspension lift. The tires are 39.5 IROKs. The gears are 4.56 and the AMPs are "AMP Research Power Steps"..same ones DCSpecial has and Markethopper is getting. The ride is great..I am really happy with it.
Nice ride Bear....How do you like that MBRP turbo back exhaust - I've been eyeing that for my new 05 6.0.
Thanks for the compliment......
Yeah..I am really happy with the MBRP...love the sound. At idle and lower RPMs it will sound like a turbine engine. You can really hear the turbo through the exhaust. If you "get on it" it will rumble very nicely. If I had to do it over again..I would get the MBRP Duals.
bearhunter, what lift is on the blue and gray truck pictured in listing # 27 of this thread? thats is my desired look. i think the 10.5 would just be too much for me. now i just need to decide what exhaust set up to get. i have the 5.4 and i have heard that they dont sound good with dual exh. i am going to switch my gears front and rear also.... i dont know if i want 4.56 or 4.88. i think with the gas engine, maybe the 4.88 would be the best option... whats your take? thanks.
2000silverbullet - Thank you. I appreciate your comments and suggestions while I was trying to sort out my wants. This place is great.
jcgswp - I want to thank you also. I looked at your gallery a few times to get an idea of how I wanted my mule to end up. This all started with the winch setup. I am very impressed with how clean and sleek this Warn equipment is. The winch behind the brush/grill guard is awesome.
The TrXuS tires seem to ride real smooth{they are a week old, you know }. The road noise is real quiet and I think the tread pattern is way cool.
Mattd17 - Not in cutoff bearhunter, but he was kind enough to post a picture of my new ride. It is a 6" Superlift-all spring with Bilstein shocks. Check out my gallery for more information.
fab150, that is one sweet lookin truck !! where did you order your lift and tires from? also, did you change your gearing? i was thinking about running a 6" with 36's, or 37's. im not sure which tire size to go with, but i want to try those new irok tires. thanks !!
Got the wheels, tires and lift from national tire and wheel in wheeling WV. I havent decided wether i am going to regear yet or not. Maybe this summer if i do. Im trying to beef up the tranny before I do to much more. Thanks for the good review guys.
Can you change your user ID without losing everything ?????
Do you even feel like you lost alot with the bigger tires and not regearing? I've kind of gotten used to my sorry @$$ 3.73's with my 37's. It shudders like no other when I jump on the gas so my next purchase is a driveshaft. Gears and lockers will continue to be on my "when I win the lottery, by this" list...
I've seen user id's change before by the moderators (maybe it was Ken that did it, not sure). Not sure of the reason why but I'm sure it has to be a good one.
