I hope Jay Leno does something on Monday night as a rememberance. Though I still think David Letterman should have taken Carson's place instead of Leno.
I liked it when he had the potato chip lady on there. She was from my old hometown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and had worked at Seyfert's Potato chip plant in Ft. Wayne. She would sort out all of the "bad" or unusual chips she could find and had collected many potato chips throughout the years that looked like familiar objects, animals, or silhouettes of Hollywood stars, etc.
Well, Johnny distracted her attention and grabbed a potato chip from another plate under his desk and bit into it. LOL!!! Her head spun back around and she nearly freaked out causing Carson to lose it!!! As usual you could hear Ed McMahon and that deep laughter of his, guffawing in the background!
Still can picture it in my mind. He looks great to this day, stepping out from behind that multi-colored curtain to that all too familiar theme song played by Doc Severinson.
Thanks for the laughter Johnny!!
