Front defroster
During the snow on 1/22 here in MD, I was having ther worst time trying to keep the windshield defrosted. I only have the manual heating controls. I would have the fan on windshield only and the heat to HHHHOOOOOOTTTTTTT. But you give it about 3 miles and I'm reaching out the window to smack the wipers to break off the ice and snow, forget about the passenger side, that was a lost cause. I'm wondering if the blower motor is not strong enough for the square footage of the windshield or if my blower is not functioning to full speed. It doesn't seem to have the ferocity of other vehicles I've had. Any comments??????

No problem here with my 99 expo. However, haven't been through any snow or ice storms lately. My blower is fierce and quit noisy when on the high setting and really cranks out the air flow.
Could depend heavily on that outside air temp though.

In most cases, my windshield remains fairly clear. But, when it is really cold out, my wipers do accumulate ice and I have to reach out and "snap" my wipers to get the ice off. Just something I have gotten used to.
