Heard this may work from several people.

I was going to get a free laptop once and one other time I was supposed to get a free lcd monitor- funny how the free things are sort of geared toward what you were shopping for anyway- so I went for it. Filled out all the info and at the end had to try at least one of the products they were selling. I backed out because for the reasons explained above. I still want my info to be private when all is said and done.

I looked at that laptop one before too. You don't have to "buy" anything but you do have to sign up for one of their credit card or other offers and get their card and use their card before you qualify for the laptop so I said bump that and backed out of it but it was already too late, my e-mail was flooded with spam for the next month. I hate spam including the one in the can. It's made out of the crap they scrape up off the floor that they can't put in bologna or hot dogs. LOL My 2 cents. Carl

Yeah, what sixpack said described it better than I did. I still get lots of unwanted emails and I also backed out before committing to any of the offers...

I set up a new e-mail account on hotmail that I use for "sign up" places. I rarely check it and they delete e-mail over 7 days old. I use this site for anything where I need an email address but do not want to be hassled with email. And I can check it, if there is mistakenly something I need.
