I am having trouble making my dual reservoir master cylinder work with my stock brake pedal. The only way I have found to mate the two is with a pushrod that is offset. What I have done is come from the pedal with a threaded rod bolted to a 1/4" steel plate. I then bolted a regular pushrod to the plate. Everything I am using is grade 8 and I welded in triangular braces on both sides of the plate to reduce the twisting effects. The distance of the offset between the threaded rod and the regular pushrod is 15/16'.
I have shown my design to several people and nobody knows any reason why it wouldn't work. They also don't know if it will work. My main concern is safety and any loads that may be placed on the pushrod causing it to fail. Has anyone done this before, or what are everyone's thoughts?
