anyone replace one of these it doesnt look bad but then you never know mine just went kapoot last night half way up and now its snowing like mad go figure
i havent done it yet, but i am about to have to, I can put it down fine, but when i go to put it up, it is very slow, stops about halfway, and if i give it a little pull, it goes up just fine the rest of the way, I have noticed also that even with the truck running, my voltage guage drops below halfway when I operate the driver window.. so if it isnt the voltage regulator/alternator, then I will be doing this too.
any tips are appreciated!
i rebuilt them all the time and sell them on ebay sometimes
usually it's a voltage problem where as you describe it stays stuck half way up
feels like your truck window is using more electricity than your radio.
you have bad wiring connections or your gears are stripped.
this doesnt go up or down in fact its not doing anything i really need to get that window up and ill deal with the motor when warmer days come got any tips on how to get the window up the rest of the way ?
i see then a better idea would be to take off the window motor itself and place a block of wood under the window to place it back into up position. or give it a direct current charge to the motor.
seems the motor was frozen, as soon as the sun came out and i drove it down the road 15 mins or so it finally worked, just my luck i wasent able to go have fun in the blizzard
