i havent done it yet, but i am about to have to, I can put it down fine, but when i go to put it up, it is very slow, stops about halfway, and if i give it a little pull, it goes up just fine the rest of the way, I have noticed also that even with the truck running, my voltage guage drops below halfway when I operate the driver window.. so if it isnt the voltage regulator/alternator, then I will be doing this too.
any tips are appreciated!

i rebuilt them all the time and sell them on ebay sometimes
usually it's a voltage problem where as you describe it stays stuck half way up
feels like your truck window is using more electricity than your radio.
you have bad wiring connections or your gears are stripped.

i see then a better idea would be to take off the window motor itself and place a block of wood under the window to place it back into up position. or give it a direct current charge to the motor.
