Valve cover appearance

we recently bought a 74 f100 and took the engine out the other day. the 429 big block came with the original blue "Powered By Ford" valve covers. We want to keep the original look to the engine but want the valve covers chromed, or aluminum polished. are there any distributers out there that sell these? or do we have to strip them and get them chromed are selves. We dont want the covers that say Cobra or Mustand powered by ford. Just POWERED BY FORD. advice or help would be helpfuls thanks all.

I bought "Ford Racing" Valve Cover's available at any Ford Dealership with Motorsports.

You may even luck out with one of our sponsor's.

The only Chrome powered by Ford VC's are ones that have been done by the owner.

I have seen them sell on eBay before, but as million said, they were probably done by the former owner.

I talked with a friend last night about this topic. He has a 69 mustang with the 390, and it has the factory chrome dress up kit. That included powered by ford chrome valve covers, chrome dipstick and a chrome air cleaner lid. He didn't think that the 429/460's had this option though.
