I have a '54 F800. It has the Lincoln 317ci with the ram horn exhaust manifolds, 5 speed trans with 2 speed rear. I custom built a 8x10 flat bed. I am wondering if I should try and sell the girl complete or part her out. Not sure how many guys would be interested in a complete F800. Ideas would be appreciated.
If I'm not mistaken the only body parts that will interchange with the smaller F-100 is grill, hood, not sure about the cab, I know the fenders have a bigger opening where the tire is.
I think it might be better to try & sell it as is. Just my thought.

David, can you post some pics of the F-800? Then we would be better able to determine whether to sell or part out. Being a stock guy I hate to see a truck with any decency parted out. Does it run, does it pass PA inspection, is it badly rusted, what is the interior like?
To answer your question about part exchange: fenders are about the only thing that won't fit smaller trucks.
My suggestion is to try to sell it as is and test the market and see it you can sell it. I believe the sum of these old trucks is worth more than the parts.
