thanks for any help that you can offer.

Reason: Title change to best reflect the nature of the TOPIC
Look at both clusters carefully. Do they both have ammeters, or does one have a voltmeter, and the other an ammeter? Have you considered possibly taking the tach itself out of the cluster and putting it in the old cluster(will it fit)?
1st sorry about title.
the tach will not fit into old cluster, but after about an hour with ohm meter i was able to find what two wire needed to be changed. wires B11 and B12 from wire harness B had to be move to A1 and A14 on wire harness A. the old A1 didnt have a pin in the harness so I didnt have to move that wire but the old A14 did and i moved it to B11.
the old clusters amp circut light was located at B11 & B12 and new Cluster amp circut was located at A1 & A14. If you Don't make this change you will have a short That causes voltage regulator to kick in and out. after I made these changes the cluster is working fine.
