Question Acronyms

I believe my HGAF adapter may be leaking. Or maybe my WALTFA sensor is not reading the AAUFC T/C. What do you think? I have head that I can purchase a NFST converter to bypass the original HGAF, WALTFA, and the AAUFC. Does anyone know anything about these? You folks and your Acronyms

I think your WALTFA sensor is just fine. From what you describe, the HGAF adapter just may have a problem, but if it did, you would know it! I would NOT recommend a NFST converter though....there are too many guys who have done that mod and most of them regret it. Whenever you bypass the AAUFC, the truck will not start under 30 degrees, will stall when the speed reaches 48 MPH and will blow out large plumes of purple smoke.

I agree, too many acronyms. If this site operators can find a way to redirect a URL to one of the forum sponsors then maybe they can come up with a way to change the acronyms. ????

Just maybe!

I took you advice on the WALTFA sensor; mine is fine, although you missed on the HGAF adapter, it was also not the problem. As you stated, I did NOT do the NFST converter MOD. I agree, there are too many guys who have done that mod and most of them regret it. My AAUFC was OK, although I did have to take it to Auto-Zone and have them recalibrate it using a TIGZZ-45-DIS recalibration spectrometer; with the special PSD plug and high pressure hose.

I found a way around the "not starting when the temperature drops below 30 degrees"; I don't shut it off. The large plumes of purple smoke are not an issue either, they remind me of the 60s. <O></O>

Does anyone know where I can get an KFVV-9-2-FU-12-4A "PSD to VW Microbus" Transmission Adapter?<O></O>

Thank you, Thank you, thank you!

You forgot one. FUJIMO

The purple haze doesn't bother me either, it's kind of nostalgic! As for the VW Microbus tranny adapter, I haven't seen one in years. I think that swap has fallen out of favour. Most guys are now using the VW to E40D adapter in an effort to save money.
