well just picked up a 85 f150 with i6 300,not much too look at, typical michigan truck but want to rebuild it since my dad gave it to me.have been reading other threads about adding a 4barrel carb and exhaust header but never left where i could find these parts,any ideas would be great .thnx

An I6 will not only outlast any V8, it will out pull it and not complain. True you won't be breaking the landspeed record anytime, but you can still put some juice in that 300 that will have people raising their eyebrows and asking what you got under there. If it is sentimental then stay with the original motor, if not you can put an 8 in, but then you will be like every other truck on the road.

this is true but i like to be different. and no im not looking for high speed just some performance evey now and then will be nice. can't afford alot .the bottom end has already been rebuilt now im working on just resurfacing the head and a few other odds and ends.
