Still have some problems.....
1997 PSD in F-350 4x4 w/manual 5 spd. Starts easily in even 5 degree weather. Has the usual cold morning smoke.
After warming for 30 minutes try and accelerate engine whiled parked and get tremendous amounts of smoke and engine seems to be struggling.
Try and drive and 1st and 2nd the same thing happens at about 2250 rpm's. Will go through this smoking and struggling.
In 3rd, 4th and 5th, there is little to no smoke clear up through the struggling range.
Seems like exhaust may be blocked. Would the Cat be the first item to look at?
The EBPV works fine...no sticking and not activated when the smoke happens.
Originally thought it was just bad fuel, but the fuel checked to have a small amount of water, not as much as I thought might have been in it.
Fuel filter is brand new...
