Muscle car shootout

Saw it on Speedchannel last night, a shootout between
1. 70 ss Chevelle Ls6 454
2.455 Hurst Olds Cutlass
3.69 Boss 429 Stang
4.426 Hemi Cuda
5.AMX 390
6.Buick GS 455
7.70 GTO judge 400 [i think]
They tested the 0-60,braking distance from 60 mph, slalom, and quarter mile with a burnout contest to boot.Well the Boss'9 won by 1 point over the LS6.The stang was the quickest in the 1/4 mile also. All were un molested and bone stock just like they came off the showroom.

I'd take the Buick GSX because it's not a very popular musclecar. I'd have to take it in a hardtop though, I don't really like convertibles.

1. 70 ss Chevelle Ls6 454 great cars if optioned correctly. Problem was, almost everything was optional. The SS pkg got you a big motor and disc brakes- you had to check the right boxes to get the good stuff- including suspension, brakes, etc. Queen-Mothership on the classic-car auction circuit.
2.455 Hurst Olds Cutlass. Sleeper.
3.69 Boss 429 Stang Really fast, but had a reputation of leaving critical engine pieces alongside the dragstrip on occasion. 4.426 Hemi Cuda the most power of the era, bar none. The cuda was too light to make use of it. if it had been a Roadrunner/Superbird, everyone else woulda been second-best at the drags.5.AMX 390
6.Buick GS 455 another sleeper
7.70 GTO judge 400 [i think] If it was a 400, it was a '69. '70 455 Judge was the fastest of the GTO's.
too bad they didn't have a '70 Trans-Am- that was the hand-down slalom/ track star from the eraThey tested the 0-60,braking distance from 60 mph, slalom, and quarter mile with a burnout contest to boot.Well the Boss'9 won by 1 point over the LS6.The stang was the quickest in the 1/4 mile also. All were un molested and bone stock just like they came off the showroom.
