Then you can guess how bummed I was when they ordered the wrong vehicles and we had to go through it all again.
Come to eastern Washington, and I'll let you drive mine!
Tall Paul - I went over that confirmation order form with a fine tooth comb! I forced myself to verify every code and description. The orders are a little funky... I got told that's just the way they do it! I bugged the heck out the salesman to prove that things were included in option packages... made him earn his commission

Double check the model code- that's where Paul's deal went awry. (Where, exactly, is awry?)

checked & double checked they got it right! W31 F350 4X4 CREW/C I couldn't imagine going to p/u and finding other than what you thought it would be. (all those options would look kind a funny on a Ranger )
I was lucky enough to get a complete list for the '05 F350 Model when I first went in to the dealer. They provided me with a 13 page printout of all the major product changes and all the options & descriptions along with order codes. It was fun placing the order and knowing more about what options were available with what combinations than the salesman. Then they made me review and sign off on the order with all those codes... guess they didn't want what happened to Paul... and if it does they can say I signed it off!

Because the stoopid DORA just specifies W31 F350 4X4 CREW/C, with no mention of wheelbase- there's two of 'em. I will say this, since I deal with GM Access and concept VINCENT on a daily basis- Ford's ordering system is almost identical to what GM's was....back in 1983, when I first started ordering product. To call concept vincent unwieldy doesn't even begin to describe it. I love Ford's product, but would like to their IT people. There's no excuse for a forward-looking, modern corporation to be using an antiquated system like that.
My DORA stated the model as W33 and listed the wheelbase.
When did you get that?
edit: on a DORA, it'll show F350 Crew Cab/156 (or 172). It's about buried in the middle of the page. For a Chebbie, line 1 will read CK35943 1-Ton Crew Cab 4X4 8' Box 167" WB. GM's made the acknowledgements a lot easier to proof read.
