Below I will list the PN for the little plstic bushings that are probably missing from your truck. They are the bushings at both ends of the clutch pedal to bellcrank rod. They are the reason we read stories of rods going POP and duming the clutch. Thats hard on the transmission and also the guy in the car ahead of you will not be happy when your quality made, built to last, obsolete truck rams into his plastic, computer, fashion statement.
Anyhow you can get these bushings at your local Ford dealership for a few bucks. You wont regret it. Easy install. Go ahead and get a new rod while you have the old one out if it shows ANY worn away metal. Also buy a pack of clevis pins and get rid of the hard to deal with cotter pins that have probably been added through the years.
No these are not the ones for the center part of the equalizer shaft. There is a rod that goes from the clutch pedal, through the floor and hooks to the bellcrank or equalizer shaft.
The type of transmission does not effect the clutch parts so yes they would be the same for a 3 or 4 speed trans.
Like I said if you dont have these intact every time you press your clutch that rod is wearing away on both ends due to metal to metal contact. Eventually POP goes the rod and DUMP goes the clutch.
