460 miles....smash!!!
Just a little story to help out anyone whos had a fender bender on a new truck. i just picked up my ordered 05 psd s/c, 5 days ago. Got insurance yesterday. Slid down my glare ice steep driveway this morning into a birch tree. Shattered the pass window, munched both pass doors, ripped off running board, tweaked the cab top and bottom. Bummer!! Double bummer!! Hope this isnt an omen of things to come...... have appointment with adjuster tomorow. Only 460 miles. I think Im gonna be sick again.....

I'm very sorry about your new truck. I had a cow when I
scratched my new paint job with the foam brush from the
do-it-yourself car wash. Then I took it to a detail shop to
have the scratches removed, which they did and had it
Teflon coated with 5 year warrentee. But, then they got
grease stains on my new seat. I know these are minor problem
compaired to your accident, but I know how you feel.

OH does that suck,sorry to hear about that,I'd be crying.
I'll never forget when I bought my new Mustang Gt., had it a couple days and destroyed the front end when I lost control of it ,,it was my 21st birthday so I think you can figure it out from there,that was back in '93 and it still makes me squirm when I think about it.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I backed into my neighbors motorhome, and it hardly scratched it but the dealer had to install a new passenger-side outer bed skin. Only thing is they didn't fit it right so now they get to do it again. For free, and they have to supply the loaner.

You think that's bad. My wifes co-worker picked up his truck (f-150), went to workthe next day. Semi making a left turn through an intersection caught his truck in the front. Pushed him into the car behind him. Destroyed it, 1 day old.

The kid washing my truck after we closed the deal ran into the wall in the car wash and put a crease on the bed, before we even got to drive it off the lot!!!

With all the damage to the doors and the other body damage, 2800 dollars seems like a rather low-ball settlement, I don't know what your deductible is but I would ask again and see if the adjuster was missing some damage in his estimate, this is a new vehicle, and I assume it is fully insured...

Yes, it was fully insured. Since 2 days befor it happened, whew! Geico, 500 deductuble. I wont pay it because there is 400+ for the new running board that I will tell body man not to put back on. Dont like the plastic ones. Probly go with warn steps like on my 99 v10. 2800-1104 in parts, 925 body labor, 520 paint labor, 250 paint supplies? I try to be like cool hand luke instead of getting angry.
