There have been a lot of darkside threads lately... So let me share something for you FTE'ers on the right (light) side of the Force!
I just got a '55 color dealer catalog. It shows the interior of the custom cab and the standard cab in living color. A note says this about the color of the seat: "Seat upolstery of Custom Cab is color-keyed- a warm red for vermillion, blue and black exteriors; harmonizing green for green and yellow exteriors. If I knew how to use our scanner and knew how to put them in the body of this thread I would do it. Maybe later.
It also shows the engines available: the 223 6 cyl, the 239, and the 256 were yellow with argent valve covers. The bigger trucks' 279 and 317 were red with argent valve covers.
Good info Abe ! Suggest you post this also in the Y-Block forum. The color thing has been beaten absolutely to death there with one member vowing and declaring the truck blocks were all red. Glad you have confirmed the colors.
