Or do I just forget , I couldn'tr disengage my 96 EB from 4x4 while it was in drive, I was able disengage in Neutral, Don't we have "on the fly" 4x4 meaning it should be engagable while driving
You're just getting old....(hehehehe) But then so am I because my recollection says you are right and the T-case should disengage on the fly. However automatic hubs will usually require that you back up about 10-15 feet before they will disengage...well until they just fail like most autos do.
Yeah, if I read my users manual correctly, you can hit the button on the dash and "disengage" the transfer case, but your auto hubs will still be locked so everything up front is still spinning. You need to do that whole "finding a spot you can back up 30 feet" routine to fully disengage.
As far as engaging, I believe if everything on your bronco is in good working order you can shift into 4H as long as your under 45mph, for 4L you need to be stopped and in neutral.
Ya, I figure it was normal, I also have manual Warns. Drives me nuts I'm getting old and forget snow strom to snow strom, Thank god for FTE .
To all in the North East .... Happy N'r Easter this weekend !!!!!
