Flywheel question
If you are going to use a manual trans make sure you install a pilot shaft bearing into the back of the crankshaft.

Flywheel question
Thanks mil1ion. I am in the Army and no matter what tranny is behind the engine they call it a flywheel. God I hate that!

Flywheel question
I just did the same thing. Just don't buy a new one. Not worth it. Find one at a junk yard and have it surfaced. There are two weights: 28 and 50lbs. Get the 50. It seams to drive better. Keeps the rpm up when you shift. There is a letter to look for on it. I can't remember what it was. I think it was "E"in the serial number. Call Ford and make sure. If you don't get the part numbers right, if you don't, your truck will shake itself apart.
