well... I just bought this truck yesterday. its a 1990 f150 4x4 with a 302. its got 140k on it. runs great though... But really randomlyit will die. not at speed... but when I am changing from drive to reverse... or park to drive... and also the engine will be cold when this happends.... do I just need to warm it up? do I need to change the feul filter? any suggestions?
could be fuel filter but also try running some fuel system treatment into her.....i had that happen too with my 95 150 just when it's cold and i was putting her into reverse mine only did it once....something with the fuel...thats all i got for ya
thanx... I have been running it around a bit more and it hasnt done it again.. I think she was just cold... will definently change the feul filter and add some fuel system treatment... cant hurt can it now? thanx.
