OBDII testing failure info:
Well I took it in after buying it an getting it registered to have the safety/emissions test ran for my state inspection sticker. It FAILED. Took it to the dealership and after a transmission switch they replaced after running a diognostics test ($280.00), took it and drove for a week and had it re-tested. It FAILED Again. Ok so i gave it more time and drove it for another week, took it back had it re-tested. It FAILED again. All in All its failed 6 times now, and I'm a little scared to take it back to the dealer to be raped again.
So I did some searching and what I found was amazing, and informative about OBDII systems. See the monitors on my vehicle kept saying the weren't ready yet, seems like alot of vehicles in the 96-97 year range are having this same trouble. Take a look for yourself: OBDII information .PDF The website that puts out this information is located here: Air Repair
Shops can diognose the system and under normal circumstances fix it, but if you live in a state like Ill, or NY for example that requires you to have an OBDII inspection done on it , make sure you haven't had repairs on it lately or you haven't disconnected the battery clearing out the codes. because it might cause you to fail the inspection test till the monitors are set in the PCM.
