I'm going to replace the OEM shocks on my 05 250 XLT (5.4 reg cab, long bed 4x4 no lift). I'm not having a lot of luck finding any that fit the 05 so far.
1) Has anyone replaced theirs with anything aftermarket? If so what kind and if you can give me some part #'s that would be great.
2) Has anyone installed the Bilsteins? How do the "OEM replacements" ride? I had a set of Bilsteins on my 02 Ram 1500 and they rode horrible unless the truck was loaded or towing then they were Cadilac smooth. I ended up pulling the fronts off and changing them because the ride was to stiff. I believe they were the 5100 series but my memory is not that good.
I bought an 05 F350 (Lariet diesel ) in mid November and have about 18,000KMs so far. The front end bottoms easily, especially when its really cold out. The dealer told me that he has had other buyers complain that the front end bottoms easliy compared to 04's & earlier and that Ford is aware of the problem. Wondering if anbody else has the same problem
