brake lights not working

brake lights not working

please help my brake light suddenly stopped working, (bulbs are not burned out)
in the bast i was able to wiggle wire under brake pedal and they worked again

1999 ford explorer
6 cylinder
automatic

Sounds like you have either a bad brake light switch or the connector going to it. What condition is the wiring in?

it doesn't seem like its the wiring, where is the brake light switch located at?

At the top of the brake pedal arm - make sure the connector is plugged in tight.

you were correct, it was the brake light switch, thanks for the help
