Single Rim weight?
How much does a single 8 hole 8 lug F250 OEM aluminum rim weigh? Guy wants to sell set for 200.00. Are there aftermarket wheels that are lighter duty, or are they all the same? The rims are supposed to be OEM off a 93-96 F250. I picked one up and it was pretty light weight.

Im not sure but I would be more concerned about the condition of them make sure there are no bent lips which hold the beads, make sure it isnt out of round, and most importantly remember alumninum rims if they do have a bend cant be beat with a block of wood and a hammer you will jepordize your saftey and put nice stress cracks in them. There may lighter aftermarket wheels but with a vehicle that size the tire is whats going to add the bulk of that wieght.

I just want to make sure they are original equipment and not a cheep lightduty aftermarket wheel. Some aftermarkets don't have the same weight range as the originals. My truck works hard!!!

I like the 8 hole forged aluminum wheels, and they are pretty tough!!! I just need a way to ID these wheels as original forged aluminum ones.
Do yours have any distinguishing ford numbers or insignias that show them to be forged aluminum or ford originals?
