help with a clunk or thump...
my 96 bronco just started a clunk or thump when i turn right. it doesnt do it when i turn left. it sounds like its coming from the rear but i really doubt it. it only makes one sound though. not a clunk..clunk..clunk. i hope someone has had this problem and can help...thanks in advance
Front end, usually ball joints or tie rod ends. Raise the wheel of the ground and grab it at the top and bottom and see if you can move it. You can tell if it does move abnormally. Thats for the ball joints. Have a friend watch the tie rod ends as you crank the wheel back and forth with it on the ground. If they visibly move well before the wheel moves, replace em. Also check the shock and coil spring mounting bolts. Make sure they are tight.
If all that passes, then you may be looking a drive train parts. But the easy stuff first.
cheers
