Help! Removing kick panel to access fuel switch?

I've got a 95 XL and I need to change my fuel filter. What's the best (and easiest) way to remove the passenger side kick panel to access the fuel switch? I'm kinda tentative about doing it without knowing what I'm doing, because I don't want to break any of the mounts or clips.

Any tips?

The round pegs should just pop straight out. It may make it easier to remove the entrance step guard because I believe that actually sits on top of that kick panel.

OK, thanks - is there a good way to get behind the panel to get in next to the clips and pop them out? Or if you grab the sides of the panel and just pull, will that work?

I pretty much just pulled on the panel and mine came out fine. If you can get the clips pulled out a little bit you can grab them and wiggle them out too.
