Need some advice! Would it be worth my while to put ladder bars on my truck? Would they make the ride on my truck rougher? It already has some lugs on the bottom of the axle housing , but when I bought the truck they wasn`t on there. Whenever I "pour the coals to it" my back end raises up. Would this stop all of that?? Thanks!

I put a set of ladder bars on my truck because I was concerned about twisting the axle on the springs when I use my 150HP nitrous kit. I have not noticed any difference in ride. I consider the bars more for show than a necessity.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Sep-02 AT 10:53 PM (EST)]i had to have mine, i only have the factory 3 inch block, but when i layed into and got all my 450hp goin, she tended to start hopping real bad off road, i broke a few driveshafts etc, now it feels like a 4 link, no movement at all, only drawback is you give up some articulation. unless you fabricate a shackle to go on the point where they mount to the frame. that allows the axle cycle fully when articulating. they were worth it for me
Hey thanks for all the input fellas!! Chris , where did you get yours and how much? It looks like they bolt around the axle with some kind of saddle. Am I right? Looks good. I was scared it might would hang up on something , but I can see that they`re up and out of the way.

yea, ground clearance with them is not a problem, and they just use two u bolts per bar to mount to the axle...easy and simple istallation
i got them from national tire and wheel in West virginia, you can also get them direct from L an L, i dont remember the exact price, but it was somewhere between 2-300 bucks?
also make sure to get a mounting kit with them, heres some more info, give em a call
