10.5 vs 10.25 Ring gears

I just brought my truck in to have the 3.73's switched out for 4.10's. I thought that there were enough manufacturers making the 10.5" ring and pinion sets that I would get a 10.5. Are there any major drawbacks to going from 10.5 to 10.25?

I haven't heard of any issues with running a 10.25" ring gear.

I didn't think that there were a lot of companies that stepped up to a 10.5" ring gear.....obviously Ford offers it, and Superior does, but wasn't sure about any others.

I think its basically the same thing. No strength difference pinion will work with both.
Thats what I've been told.

Yea, all you have to change is the pinion bearing and race.
