10.5 vs 10.25 Ring gears
I just brought my truck in to have the 3.73's switched out for 4.10's. I thought that there were enough manufacturers making the 10.5" ring and pinion sets that I would get a 10.5. Are there any major drawbacks to going from 10.5 to 10.25?

I haven't heard of any issues with running a 10.25" ring gear.
I didn't think that there were a lot of companies that stepped up to a 10.5" ring gear.....obviously Ford offers it, and Superior does, but wasn't sure about any others. |
I think its basically the same thing. No strength difference pinion will work with both.
Thats what I've been told. |
Yea, all you have to change is the pinion bearing and race.
