Hey guys,
Does anybody know of a adapter to put a 302 intake on a 351M? I've tried PME and they do not list one on there website. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Jerry
I have a B&M blower off my Mustang that I'm not using, so I thought I'd put it on my truck. I just thought there might be a easier way than having a manifold modified.
Ya know, I actually saw a web site that made intake spacers to adapt Ford intakes. I know I saw a 302 2x4 manifold adapted to a 351W. It's been a while, I'll see if I can find it.
PriceMotorsport.com has a lot of them, but nothing for a 302 intake on a M block. I might give them a call tomorrow and see if they have anything or any ideas.
The problem with adapting a Windsor-type intake to a 335-series (351C/351M/400) engine is that the ports won't line up, and the 335-series uses a dry manifold (no coolant passages).
BDS makes a manifold to adapt 6-71 and 8-71 blowers to the 351M/400 engine.
wow. they are pretty proud of there manifolds aren't they...lol
I might have to work on building a adapter to mount the blower right to the carb pad.
Those old 144 powerchargers are not much longer than the base of the carb. Thanks for the help and if anybody comes across anything let me know.
I figure a low compression 351 would do well with 5 or 6 PSI on it
