cold idle
I have a 92 F-150 that will not idle when it is cold. When I keep the idle up until the temp rises it will run fine. Any ideas on the problem. The Chiltons book sounds like it would be a engine coolant temperature sensor please help.

I think that would be worth checking. I am sure someone can come up with a test procedure so that you can check it. I think mine cost about $20 buck when I replaced it. Check it first. I'll see what I can find,but someone will probably post it before I can find it.
If your ECT is failed or failing it's possible you are getting a Code 21? Have you read your codes or can you read them??
