gas milage question
my 89 150 302 manual has always got poor milage. I rebuilt it last year, and I only get around 10. for the longest time, the engine wouldn't heat up, replaced thermostate, heats up fine. I put the heads on backwards so whatever that exhaust pipe is that connects the two heads together, it isn't there. I have dual exhaust, with an h pipe and two race mufflers. no cat. . . I have no real concept for how the egr system works, but to my knowledge, it doesn't work at all, since there is no place for exhaust gasses to reenter the engine. it smells rich. But i would really like to get this problem fixed. It idles high because I have a computer for an auto in it. But anyway, somebody with knowledge to fords goofy efi system shed some light onto me.
